When a Copier Lease is a Good Idea

When making the decision on whether to buy or lease there are several good reasons as to why leasing a copier is a good idea. Below are a few reasons as to why leasing a copier for your business may be the right way for you.
Firstly, if your business is small, you undoubtedly do not have the resources to allow for maintenance staff to be on hand for any problems which may arise with the equipment you have in your office. However, if you lease the equipment you often find that you get some sort of coverage in relation to troubleshooting and the general upkeep of the equipment. But be aware that the lease may specify only a certain number of service calls are available to you per month or during the duration of the lease, but either way it frees up either you or the staff you employ to focus on the business and not having to worry about a problem that has arisen with the copier.
Secondly replacement parts are not always cheap in relation to copiers and a good copier lease will usually contain a list of the parts which can installed and replaced at no extra charge to you. However, it is wise to check through the lease thoroughly as there may be other parts which you could well be charge for (although usually below the market price). Additionally you will not have to spend your valuable time looking for and comparing the cost of replacement parts as the lease you take out guarantees that the replacement parts will work and are cost efficient. Also you may well find that the lease includes a section where they will supply you with a working copier whilst the unit is broken and repairs are being carried out.
Often you will find that to upgrade to a better copier is much easier when you have a lease. Just as with many other sorts of office equipment copiers seem to become more sophisticated year after year. Also you may find that your business is growing and therefore you need to look at a copier which can handle and deal with the heavy work loads that will be required. Most office suppliers are more than happy to take your copier lease and roll it into a new lease for a more up to date model. Not only does this save you the hassle of trying to dispose of the old machine but allows you to upgrade as and when it is required.
Certainly in today’s commercial world more and more businesses, both large and small are leasing their office equipment as it really does make commercial sense. Between the benefits of built in maintenance, the chance to upgrade as and when needed and the little hassle that is involved (making a phone call) to have a part replaced then leasing seems to be the best option for most offices today.
