Functions of Copier Machines
Allison Thompson
Defined Tag: Copier Machines.
There are many kinds of copier machines which are being used in home offices, corporate offices, retail outlets and other places and are used for making copies of important documents and other paperwork. Not only do these machines some business both time and money when multiple copies need to be made but there are some which are capable of performing other tasks such as a fax machine, scanner or have the added collating option with them. Also depending on the type of machine found in a particular office it may well be able not only to produce black and white documents but also colour ones as well.
Over the years copier machines have begun to get much smaller because of the advances in technology that are now available and this technology also enables people to customize their documents as to how they will appear on the paper. Many copier machines can now print on both sides of the same piece of paper, print every other page, print pages with numbers on them, plus a variety of other functions which people can use to create their own unique booklets, manuals and memos for distribution around the office or business. Also there is the added benefit that these functions can be used with not only white paper, but also coloured and different sizes of paper which ensures that the documents being produced look even better.
Now the emailing has taken over the way in which most people communicate in the office the copier machine is now mostly used for producing presentations and record keeping and ensuring that the machine works properly will help those within the office to accomplish these tasks much easier. It is vital to get the copier machine checked over yearly and toner cartridges should be replaced regularly, but this all depends on how regularly the machine is used. Such minor problems like paper jams etc can often be corrected by a member of the office staff, but anything more major will need to have the assistance of a repair person who is trained in what to look for. However, if the machine in the office continues to have problems and break down it is time to consider looking at purchasing a new one. Most of the new machines now available have a life span of about 5 years or more as long as they are cared for properly.
